About This Role

The Value-Based Care Analyst will model contract performance scenarios, track shared savings benchmarks, and deliver analytic support that enables partners to maximize their returns under risk-based arrangements. This role is ideal for a quantitatively minded professional passionate about aligning incentives with better patient outcomes.
What You'll Do
- Build and maintain financial models that project shared savings, downside risk exposure, and total cost of care under various VBC contract structures
- Analyze utilization patterns including ED visits, readmissions, and specialist referral leakage to identify cost reduction opportunities
- Prepare monthly and quarterly performance scorecards for ACO and bundled payment participants
- Support health system partners in CMS program reporting including MSSP, BPCI-A, and direct contracting models
- Collaborate with clinical teams to correlate quality improvement initiatives with financial outcomes
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in economics, public health, statistics, or a quantitative discipline
- 3+ years of experience in value-based care analytics, health plan finance, or actuarial analysis in a healthcare setting
- Advanced Excel and SQL skills with experience building financial forecasting models
- Working knowledge of CMS value-based programs, attribution methodologies, and benchmark calculations
- Ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly to clinical and executive audiences
- Experience with healthcare claims data (professional, facility, and pharmacy)
Nice to Have
- Experience with Tableau, Looker, or similar BI tools for interactive reporting
- Familiarity with risk adjustment coding optimization strategies
- Exposure to commercial payer alternative payment models
