About This Role

Building technology for clinicians requires a nuanced understanding of how care is delivered in the real world-the interruptions, cognitive load, and time pressures that shape every interaction. The UX Researcher for Clinical Workflows will embed with clinical partners to observe and analyze care delivery processes, translating those insights into actionable design recommendations. Your work will directly influence how Tile Health’s products reduce administrative burden and support clinical decision-making.

What You'll Do

  • Plan and execute generative research studies including contextual inquiry, shadowing, and diary studies in clinical environments
  • Design and facilitate evaluative research sessions (usability testing, concept testing) with physicians, nurses, and care coordinators
  • Synthesize research findings into personas, journey maps, and workflow diagrams that the product and design teams can act on
  • Maintain a longitudinal research repository that enables cross-study pattern recognition and institutional learning
  • Advise product teams on research-informed prioritization, advocating for clinician needs in roadmap discussions
  • Develop research operations processes including participant recruitment, consent, and incentive management for clinical populations

What We're Looking For

  • 4+ years of UX research experience with a strong portfolio of mixed-methods research projects
  • Experience conducting field research in healthcare settings such as hospitals, clinics, or telehealth environments
  • Proficiency in qualitative analysis tools (Dovetail, EnjoyHQ, or similar) and quantitative survey analysis
  • Ability to navigate IRB-adjacent research ethics considerations when recruiting patient or clinician participants
  • Strong facilitation skills for stakeholder workshops and research readouts

Nice to Have

  • Graduate degree in HCI, cognitive science, medical anthropology, or a related field
  • Clinical background or prior experience working embedded in a health system
  • Familiarity with Jobs-to-be-Done or Outcome-Driven Innovation frameworks
  • Experience researching EHR usability or clinical decision support tools
