About This Role

Tile Health operates at the intersection of technology and healthcare, navigating a complex web of federal and state regulations. The Senior Healthcare Counsel will advise on matters ranging from FDA software regulation and Stark Law implications to data licensing agreements and telehealth compliance. This is a hands-on role for an attorney who wants to be embedded in the business, working directly with product, commercial, and clinical teams to enable innovation within regulatory guardrails.

What You'll Do

  • Advise product and clinical teams on FDA regulatory requirements for software as a medical device (SaMD) and clinical decision support
  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements including health system contracts, data licensing agreements, and vendor MSAs
  • Provide legal guidance on Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark Law, and False Claims Act compliance for partnership structures
  • Monitor regulatory developments from ONC, CMS, FDA, and state legislatures that impact Tile Health’s product and go-to-market strategy
  • Support the compliance team on HIPAA, state privacy law, and data breach response matters
  • Advise the people team on healthcare-specific employment considerations including credentialing and licensure requirements

What We're Looking For

  • JD from an accredited law school and active bar membership in at least one US jurisdiction
  • 6+ years of healthcare law experience at a law firm, in-house legal department, or government agency
  • Deep knowledge of healthcare regulatory frameworks including HIPAA, Stark Law, AKS, and FDA digital health guidance
  • Experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements with health systems and payers
  • Strong business judgment and ability to provide practical, risk-calibrated legal advice to non-legal stakeholders

Nice to Have

  • Experience advising digital health or health-tech companies
  • Familiarity with state telehealth regulations and interstate licensure compacts
  • Background in health data privacy litigation or regulatory enforcement
  • Experience supporting venture capital fundraising or M&A transactions in healthcare
