About This Role
Tile Health processes sensitive clinical data around the clock, and our infrastructure must meet the highest standards of reliability and regulatory compliance. The DevOps Engineer for HIPAA Infrastructure will own the CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration, and cloud resource management that keep our platform running securely. You will work closely with security and compliance teams to ensure every infrastructure change meets HIPAA technical safeguard requirements.
What You'll Do
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines that enforce automated security scanning, unit testing, and compliance checks before deployment
- Manage Kubernetes clusters hosting production healthcare workloads with zero-downtime deployment strategies
- Implement infrastructure-as-code using Terraform for all cloud resources, maintaining drift detection and automated remediation
- Configure and maintain centralized logging, monitoring, and alerting using tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, and PagerDuty
- Perform regular disaster recovery drills and maintain documented runbooks for incident response scenarios
- Collaborate with the security team to implement network segmentation, encryption-at-rest, and encryption-in-transit controls
What We're Looking For
- 4+ years of DevOps or site reliability engineering experience in a cloud-native environment
- Strong proficiency with AWS services (EKS, RDS, S3, KMS, CloudTrail) in a HIPAA-eligible configuration
- Expert-level Terraform skills with experience managing multi-account AWS Organizations
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (EKS or GKE) including pod security policies, network policies, and RBAC
- Knowledge of HIPAA technical safeguard requirements and their implementation in cloud infrastructure
Nice to Have
- SOC 2 or HITRUST audit preparation experience
- Experience with service mesh technologies such as Istio or Linkerd
- AWS Solutions Architect or Security Specialty certification
- Experience with GitOps workflows using ArgoCD or Flux
