Applied AI Scientist, LLM Agents

About This Role

Tile Health uses conversational AI to run compliant, empathetic patient interactions at scale. The Applied AI Scientist will push the frontier of what our agents can safely do in a clinical setting.

What You'll Do

• Prototype and productionize LLM agents for outreach, documentation, and triage support
• Build robust evaluation harnesses to measure quality, safety, and compliance
• Collaborate with clinical experts to encode protocols and guardrails
• Continuously improve prompts, tools, and retrieval systems in production

What We're Looking For

• 4+ years in applied ML or NLP, including recent work with LLMs
• Strong Python and experience building evaluation and experimentation pipelines
• Sound judgment around safety, reliability, and hallucination mitigation
• Ability to translate ambiguous problems into measurable systems

Nice to Have

• Experience deploying LLMs in regulated or high-stakes domains
• Familiarity with retrieval-augmented generation and agent frameworks
